I love the BLTA Croissant from Red Robin. It’s what I get pretty much every time we go there. I’ve tried other menu items, but I love this sandwich so much that I just can’t resist ordering it. Since the cost of eating out has risen so much, I’ve discovered that it is really easy to make a similar sandwich at home that tastes just as good.

The BLTA Sandwich goes through our menu rotation quite often as it’s a favorite of ours and a really easy meal to make. It also works well for a summertime meal when you might not want to heat up your house by turning on the oven.

Why is this sandwich so good?

I love this sandwich because it’s so much more than just a regular BLT. The extra ingredients help to make it extra filling and delicious. Another great thing is that you can use whatever type of bread that you’d like to make it. My favorite type to use is ciabatta rolls, but I also have used just regular toasted bread if I don’t have any rolls on hand.

It’s also very customizable. If you have kids who don’t like certain toppings, you can just leave them off. My kids don’t like tomatoes and my husband likes extra bacon on his. 🙂

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 6 ciabatta rolls (or 12 slices of bread)
  • 1 package bacon
  • 1 package turkey deli meat
  • 1-2 tomatoes sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • mayonaise

Method
 

  1. Toast ciabatta rolls or bread of your choice.
  2. Fry bacon until crispy.
  3. Slice vegetables and prepare your favorite condiments.
  4. Prepare each sandwich by spreading mayonaise on each slice of bread and then layer each ingredient to your liking inside the sandwich. Enjoy!
